Marley is our small peek-a-poo that we rescued last October from a shelter in Dothan, AL. Matter of fact, we drove down there on my birthday to get her. Must have been karma.

Anyway, me and Marley have been hanging out here this week while my wife has been out of town. We’ve had the place to ourselves and have done pretty much what we wanted to do….mostly. I’ve a feeling that Donna told her to watch what I eat while she’s away because she keeps staring at me when I open the pantry like: “Momma won’t like it if you eat that!”
We’re going to put in some time in the yard today and see if we can manage to not blow ourselves up on the grill later tonight. She swears she knows how to cook on the grill so I’m thinking it’s a plan to get closer to the meat instead.
She’s also been keeping an eye on my computer time too. A casual nudge to my leg is what usually gets my attention when it’s time to take her out. That and her eyes appear to be floating sometimes. A good sign that I need to take her out or find a wet spot later. They’re not welcome as you might suspect.
The week is almost up and we’ve still got plenty to do.
