I’m really into Linux in all it’s various forms and fashions. I believe in Freedom of Choice and that it’s an individual’s right to decide what he or she wants for an operating system including what goes in it. No one else should be able to dictate otherwise. Enough said about that.

I prefer Linux Mint as my main distribution and run it on my laptop. I tried several others for a time and kept coming back to Mint so it found a home on my machines here. I also run Win7 Pro on a seperate box just for movies and some light gaming. Some music duties too but it’s there mostly for when my wife needs to do some work related to her job.

Yes, I fully understand that there are still some things out there that still don’t run on Linux. I’m coping as well as one can be expected to, thank you.

I prefer Classic Rock music to pretty much any other out there. Grew up listening to it and it has it’s roots firmly planted in me. I also like Scifi type shows and movies due in large part to the special effects. Love that stuff.

I keep up with local folks a lot as they are the heartbeat and pulse of where I live. Topics ranging from local politics, attractions, events and the assorted stuff keep my interest. Also:

  • I follow people who are local to me here in B’ham, AL.
  • I follow people who are all across the globe.
  • I follow people who are interesting and share similar interests.
  • I follow people with amusing political views.
  • I follow people who are into SEC Football.
  • I follow people who are into College Football.
  • I follow people who are funny.
  • I follow people who I can learn from.
  • I follow people who have something to contribute.
  • I DO NOT follow people who follow me just to build up their follow/follower counts.
  • I DO NOT follow people who offer spam, p0rn or try to sell me crap.
  • I DO NOT follow people who think highly of themselves.
  • I DO NOT follow people just to build up my own counts.
  • I DO NOT follow people who tweet their every move or feeling.
  • I WILL NOT follow you just because you follow me.

Now, if I haven’t ticked you off and you tweet often on the topics that interest me, I’ll follow you. If you don’t, please don’t take it personally. See, I check the website you have listed in your profile to see what you’re about and what ever else I can learn about you to see if I want to follow you in return. Time is way to short to waste on non-interesting things and/or people who could care less. I’d expect the same thinking from anyone else.
